This was a gift for a dear friend leaving our playcentre. We usually go on a walk to our local reserve, called Paekawakawa that has lots of kawakawa trees, and this made the perfect farewell gift.

I decided to get my tea towel framed for my kitchen space at mahi. The number of people I catch gazing at this beautiful piece while waiting for their kawhe has been incredible. It’s become the starting point for so many conversations and the sharing of beautiful stories. Such a simple item has created so much connection.
